3m CLEAR BRA

What is your experience with clear bra by 3M?
Does it really work?

Is the hood piece enough or should I get the whole front (hood, bumper, etc.)

Did you install it yourself?

Do you have pics of it? I would like to see it?
I have a black/clear bug screen on the front of my hood which works well, I don't get alot of paint chips.

You can check my homepage for my pics. I just have the hood and the fender pieces. They've kept the dings off pretty well but my bumper looks like shyt now. I'm hoping custommax comes out with that bumper replacement soon.
I did the install and it was pretty easy and straight-forward. You just have to be careful not to stretch it too much or get it all stuck and wrinkled up. Be meticulous and it'll be easy.
If you do get a big bubble in the middle of the kit, try to squeegee the air and liquid out. If that's not working, use a needle make a little hole to let the air and liquid out.

I've got the hood piece and 2 small fender pieces. It was pretty easy to put on and I had no experience. Yeah, my bumper is peppered with small marks...but the paint has not chipped off.

Personally, I would not attempt the bumper piece myself. It's very large. I'd suggest having a shop do that if you're thinking of getting it.

I have pics on my homepage, too. The hood piece is pretty invisible.

I got the hood and bumper kit about 2 months ago. I did the install myself. The hood and side pieces were easy but the bumper was a pain in the a**. Take a look at page 3 of my homepage for pics

I drive about 60 miles everday on the highway and I've managed to only get one nick right above the hood piece of the bra.

I have the entire kit........hood, bumper, mirrors, lights. I cant stress how great this is! I immediately had a couple of chips after purchaseing the car, now......20 months later.....0 chips anywhere. Get it you wont regret it.

I think that the hood piece and 2 small fender pieces will fit. not sure about the bumper.
Go to www.invinca-shield.com for more info.

I have the hood, bumper, mirrors and lights on mine. Had it professionally installed the first month I got the car. The only paint chips I have exist on areas the clear bra doesn't protect (fenders, smaill one on hood above the clearbra). It really invisible as well.

Here are some pics of the car on two different sites at different times of it's modding experience but the clear bra is on in every pic.

Does anyone know of any professional installers in central Iowa? I have been trying to find someone and not had much luck. The guy that was listed as an installer at Invinca-Shield.com wasn't really interested. Thanks for any help.

I've had these on several cars and they're worth the coin. However, as the above poster said, they can go yellow on a white car, so I don't have on now.
Had one on my Audi A6 when a cherokee backed into the right headlight and hood area. The bra bent 90 degrees and didn't rip or tear. Most shops will provide a lifetime guarantee against stone damage like large rips or tears by rocks.
