Hehehehehe...

<img src=http://www.geocities.com/y2kevse/front_marker/marker.jpg>
I broke this (bought a new marker yesterday to test this project out)... but now I know what to do.

I'll probably buy a new pair tomorrow and clear them out... when I do that, I'll clear out the ones I have on my car also.

Next step... mass production! Muhahahahahahaha!!!

Kev...Can you email me the directions on how you did this? I tried for hours to take it apart tonight and all I ended up with was a slight crack on the passenger side lights At least you got yours apart.

No need to email you because I'll post it here and share. Basically I did what ArticMax and black2kse did...

1) Take off lamp (in my case it was a new one)
2) Use a rotary tool (i.e. Dremel) and cut a cross on the orange part making sure not to go too deep because you'll mess up the clear lense underneath.
3) Heat the lense up with a blow dryer and carefully remove the orange pieces (heating it is an option).
4) Carefully pull of the clear lense. Use a screw driver if you have to, but be sure not to force anything. (heating in #3 helps a little).
5) Dremel or sand down the edges of the housing.
6) Put silicone on the clear lense and put back on.

I didn't do the last step because I broke the clear lense already. Also, I had gray lamp housing so I didn't need to paint the inside. Good luck!

I'll probably make the clears with my current ones and sell them. Email me if anyone is interested.

Look real nice Kev. When you say to cut across the orange part, are you saying that the clear lens is under the orange reflector? Are you cutting directly into the orange reflector, or are you cutting the plastic around the sides of the housing?
Thanks!

Thanks! Cut a cross (an X basically) on orange lens, which is right on top of the clear piece located underneath. Once you do that, you can rip off the orange stuff to see clear stuff. Don't cut around the sides because the clear piece sticks up a little, so you might accidentally cut into it.

Yes, cut it like you're cutting a hotdog roll in half, then cut across the roll like you're dividing it in half. Hope this helps.
