TE's have titanium colored wheels while stock have a whitish colored wheel....also the titanium comes with titanium colored trim on the inside and stock with the bose stereo and sunroof as well and chrome sill plates that say MAXIMA. The front grille is also dominated by titanium colored plastic

only 03 SE's were titanium editions. There were 200000 02/03's made. Id say that about 30-40k are TE's

Sorry! But thank you for trying.

My TE doesn't have "titanium colored plastic" on the front grille.

I wouldnt go that far as to say that they look alot better ,and not all of us like the polished rims. Those rims look ok on certain colors and not so ok on others.

pretty much the bulk of the 2003 SE's that I have seen on dealer lots were TE. Especially if they were fully loaded only the base SEs were none TE so I would have to say that the 03 TE was pretty common for the 2003 production year. THe 2002 SE, GLE and 2003 GLE sales combine would out number the 2003 TE to make it seem as if there were a limited number of them sold though but they are common in comparison to the none 2003 TE and GLE.

Those 'painted' wheels cost a lot more than normal... I think it's like a ridiculous $800 each or something.

Don't forget the TE comes STD with the Bose 6-CD changer, compass mirror, and a sunroof as well. Those are 'big ticket' add ons for a non TE.

I have a TE as well. Unfortunately one of my rims got bent and I am trying to replace it at the moment. It has been a pain in the $^% because i do not want to pay almost $600 for a new wheel. I have been calling the junk yards but all they have are the non-TE finished wheels.

The thing that I hated was that with Glacier Pearl if you wanted the Titanium package you couldnt get the blond cloth interior you had to get frost cloth. That turned me off to the package because I wanted the blond cloth interior. All of the rest of the colors different cloth seating options were available.

Well, too bad the manufacturer didnt put a TE badge on it to distinguish it from the rest- Kelley blue book resale will be the same
since its still an SE

KBB doesn't necessarily set the 'sale price' of a car.

If you have a TE, you can add a bit to the resale price.

What is being overlooked about this is that the TE was an option PACKAGE, not a unique vehicle, as opposed to the AE. When it is valued it will be an SE, maybe padded a bit due to options, but still an SE.

I love the way my TE features looks with the Polished Titanium color of the car. Lucky me found the car on the 4th or 5th floor of a huge dealership garage, tucked away for one reason or another..

I think it's funny no one mentioned that the TE has the side airbags as well. That's probably more important than the dash kit and sill plates combined!

All '03 SE in Canada is TE. So add like another 50k to the poll.

Btw Canadian '03 SE is also Merdian, HSLD(for manual tranny)

808SE: I said that I havent seen one, not that they dont exist altogether. The more loaded max's got the TE. My dealer only had 03 SE TE's.

Simplemax: They arent all that important when the question is about aesthetics.

i think thats because you can get the side airbags on any trim, it came with my GLE, but cant get the dash kit or sill plates unless you get them afterwards.

There should be a little tag near the headrest on the seat. Right near the top of the left side that says SRS Airbag.

No intention of proving you wrong. Just wanted to point out that I had one. Interestingly, the reason I picked my car was that it had no options aside from the 6 speed and the HLSD. Do you have a E55AMG? Those cars are amazing.

We had 2 different ones. The 2001 E55AMG w/ 349hp which was traded for the 2003 E55AMG with 469hp. Then my father sold it for a profit.
