Ummm D2S bulbs don't fit Maximas. You must have installed D2R bulbs. Looks good.

It looks great, i have the same color Maxima. Mine is a 2003 6 speed with a few mods and I wanted to say your lights look incredible!!! Where did you get the bulbs and if you don't mind, could you tell me how you installed them. I have the piaa lights on my fogs and highbeams but it isn't a match at all. Would love the look you have. Check out my page, I have a hot Trenz Grille on mine and have gotten nothing but compliments and alot of head turns while driving. My page is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No they are d2s bulbs. I had to make a extra notch in them to make it fit right.

Hmmm that must be a messed up beam pattern. Projection bulbs in a reflective housing is a no no. Is there a strip on the bulb as well? You will probably get pulled over unless you beam pattern is going downwards. I've had the KOP 8000K (from juice) in my headlights. Sold them since the light output was kinda weak. 8000K would be sweet in the fogs for me since I drive in a lot of snow during the winter.

on a d2s there is no strip because its made for a projector lens.

They put the same amount of light on the road as a d2r but appear to be brighter

There is another member that took the strip off 6000K d2r bulbs. I don't think it is a good idea for beam pattern though. I have a feeling you will get pulled over.

Looks like he modded the bulb to fit. The beam pattern (glare) is not cool for other drivers.

They appear brighter becaue you have more light going in places it's not supposed to. You have the wrong bulb in your housing which might look cool to you, but will be an annoyance to oncomming traffic.

You sure do know your HID's.

You should have left your stock 4300K bulbs in. They are brighter than 6000K and put out more light. What you have is glare with a messed up beam pattern.

actually smarty they are not brighter. The after market bulbs are a little bit brighter and shine up the road MUCH better than stock.

Looks like you are the one who doesnt know anything on HID.

6000K is the BEST light output on HID

Not necessarly, go try to argue about this on hidforum.com and you'll see what I mean. Im still waiting for my 6500K Catz bulbs to arrive but I already have the 6500K in my fogs, and yes they too pointed off on one side once I was done, I had to uninstall the lip so take mine out so your lucky you dont have the kit yet

Guys the Deadline is TODAY! I belive you can still purchase bulbs if you are 2k2-2k3 since it came with them stock, but no conversion kits, the beam pattern is the main problem. The bulk of your beam (90%) is supposed to be on your lane, but even stock maybe 70% is in my lane and the rest lights up half of the lane on either side of me so

3.0 His beam pattern cant be to jacked up since it is not a converison kit, just a bulb upgrade. As for the fogs, well they are there for looks, mine is still pointing at the ground and lights up the road directly in front of the car up to 15ft ahead so its not pointing straight, regardless fog lights all have a wide beam pattern so even if the fog beam is off it doesnt matter as long as it points at the ground. The stock HID headlights are supposed to be aligned 40ft away at I belive it was 26" off the ground (I cant remember everything)

6000K is one of the best but its more to each owns personal opinion, IMO 6000K is the best.

I have had 3 HID kits prior to this one and the 6000k is def. the best light output i have seen/had.

Looks awesome Igor. I didn't even know you got rid of your 2k. lol

I have some 4300K D2R bulbs from an IS300 with the strips removed and I've only been flashed once in 4 months. I really want to get some 6000K D2R bulbs now! Just don't have the $$.

Also, in those pics how long were your headlights on before you took the pics? Is that the color they are when they're fully warmed up?

So your saying 6000K puts out more lumens (light output) than 4300K?
