BUMBER from 02 to 00

Does anyone know If the frot bumper and grille from a 02 max will fit a 00 max. I messed mine up and can get the bumper and grille from a 02 max cheap. Also will the fog lights from the 00 fit the 03 bumper.
Thanks

I may be wrong but i dont think the 02 bumper will fit properly around the headlight area, i think the headlight housings arent different sizes.

Fog light are different for sure, totally different part numbers for 00-01 vs 02-03. The 02-03's look larger also.

the bumper should fit fine, and they didn't make any changes to the headlight area...That is why so many people with 2000's have 2k2 headlights on their car

Give it a try. The 2k2 front end looks better than the 2k front end anyway.

The bumper won't fit... for one thing, the grilles are a different size between the 2k/2k1 and 2k2/2k3... the other thing, the 2k/2k1 grille is built into the bumper, the 2k2/2k3 isn't.

They are different part numbers because they are different parts... they are not interchangable.

The bumper should fit. Yes, he will need to buy the 2K2 grille also, but it should be a direct swap.

Hey... yes, he has to also buy the grille...

hence, NOT a 'direct swap'. He has to incur the cost of a grille as well.

Did ANYONE read his original post?

He said he can get both cheap and never implied he would want to get away with a bumper swap only.

well, then, my answer was based on a bumper swap only and comments that the bumper would fit... the bumper will fit ONLY if the grille is swapped out as well.

A "direct swap" is defined as being able to switch out parts without having to MODIFY anything on the bumper or car.

No, that's misleading information.

"direct swap" of a bumper means take one off, put the other on.

Without also swapping out the grille, big problems.

I've recently talked with DAVEB about doing this and it looked like a few $0.70 clips was all that was required, however you'll have to buy 2K2 foglights and mod the electrical plugs to make them work.

The swap should be pretty straight forward, besides the foglamps and MAYBE the 2K headlamps. I have 2K2 headlamps, so that wasn't a concern.
