looks nice, and in stock size too. just curious for my next replacement.
specifically, i'm looking for lower noise levels than my current es100 tires. i figure anything other than the stock potenzas are an improvement. so decent grip, lower noise levels, and softer ride are my next purchasing factors. i was planning on the s-03 in 225/55 but hopefully these will be a bit quieter (and much cheaper). also, i read up on the db tires, but they seem to suffer from strange wear patterns.

Kumho's are cheap, and wear well, but save up a couple more bucks, and get something else. I just got rid of my Kumho's, and I can't get over how much better my Max, rides, handles, and hooks. BTW I bought Yokohama ES100's.

kalbundy just got some Kumho KH11's not too long ago. You might want to PM him about them. He seems to love them.

I just got ES100's, I talked with several different tire shops who recommended them over the Kumho's, mine seem to be quiet.

I would rather attempt to make my own tires out of rubber bands than buy Kuhmos.

I have had not one problem yet. And comming from the Pilot Sports I can't tell that Much of a difference and the WET and DRY handling is just as good. I think for the money Its hard to beat.

I just put on the Continental Contiextremecontact. Holy S***!!! This tire is unreal in dry and wet conditions. I live in Chicago so I will have to wait until the snow. For the money, there isn't much out there that can touch this tire right now. I have a 2000 Max and the size I went with is 235/45/17. I had high expectations for this tire because of the survey results and reviews on tire rack--check them out, but the tire has exceeded all expectations. The tire just digs into the asphalt and I don't slide around corners anymore. The car rides just is well in heavy downpoors and I don't have to worry about the Craptenza's. This tire is new this year and I really encourage you to check out the reviews and survey results before making a decision. The pics of the tire do not do it justice. This tire looks so awesome. There is so much tread on these it's amazing and they look sweet on the rims. Just my .02

is everyone comparing the kumho kh11 tire or just kumho in general? i understand the earlier kumho's weren't that great and i'd tend to agree. but they're newer models seem to perform much better, hence the questions. for instance, i don't it would be fair to assume the stock potenza re92 is an indication of bridgestones' performance in general.

maxvader: how's the noise level?

Great price but the wear is short. I've put about 20K and there shot already. I rotated every 7K. But I've been told to rotate about 3K. Figure it out, for every oil change tak on the cost of a rotation. Also tire pressure at about 37psi. 60% highway and 40% local. If anyone can chime in about psi, rotate interval maybe you can extend these a little longer. By the way at first the performance was awesome for the price, in rain and dry conditions, and these were the first purchase after those crappy Potenza's, So any tire is awesome. This is just my experience with this set of tires. I'm looking for a new set for around same price. I'll try something different this time around.

go with the Continental Contiextreme contacts. Trust me. Read the reviews on tire rack. I just put them on and love them.

Sumitomo HTR+ 235/45-17

Good wear and traction, as well as noise. For $89 a pop, I'm not sure they can really be beat.

thanks for the heads up on the contis. i was under the impression that they had lower tread life tho, a la pirellis. however, i'm looking to go back to stock size or even higher, maybe a 225/55. after renting an i35, i really want that smoother, stock ride back.
