Part number for Air Intake Gasket 3.5
Part number for Air Intake Gasket 3.5
Does anybody know the name and part number for the Upper Plenum of the air intake. I'm going to change my plugs but I'm not sure that the gasket I have is the right one. (The guy at the parts counter wasn't too sure since they haven't done a spark plug change on a 3.5 Liter yet.)
I've got part 14032-8J105 Gasket-Adapter
Is it right? 2002 by the way

Why are you changing the plugs already?
Unless you've got nitrous, I doubt they need to be changed.

Please tell me if anyone successfully changed the plugs!
Peace!

Oh yeah. That's a yes with the Nitrous. I'm asking about the gasket because it's usually good practice to change out gaskets anytime you remove one. The gaskets compress and deform so per chance you don't install everything exactly (and I mean with no measureable difference) you'll get a leak. And a leak on your intake manifold can spell disaster.

Thanks everyone. I guess I'll just try to change the plugs and re-use the existing gasket. At that point I can also see if the one they gave me is right. Otherwise I can ride my motorcycle a while if things don't work out.

cheers
Remove the airbox and intake tubes from the throttle body. unbolt the small brackets the left side of the manifold (YOUR right when facing). 10mm socket
Remove the plug from the TB and the wire clip on it's bottom bracket without cutting it or unbolting the bracket.
Remove the vacuum line from just behind the TB which you can see from the front.
Remove two larger vacuum lines from the right side/back of the intake manifold (YOUR Left when facing).
Remove the wire bracket from the same location that has two plugs on it. 10mm socket.
Remove the two 12mm bolts from the back of the elbow that connect it to the support bracket. These are NOT the ones that connect it to the plenum and are not visible. If you can see bolts you're probably not dealing at the right ones. You can reach them with a 0º box end wrench, or a socket wrench. I prefer a box end ratchet. Find them by holding your hand near the middle of the elbow athen slide down to the bottom where you cannot see. Get to them from the left side of the car (Your right when facing).
Remove the two 12mm nuts from each side of the intake manifold. Then remove the three 12mm bolts from the front of the intake manifold.
There is no need to separate the elbow from the upper manifold. That is a complete waste of time and a PITA to reassemble if the manifold it still on the car.
Total:
1 Small Vacuum line
2 Larger Vacum lines
5 10mm bolts holding the airbox
3 10mm bolts holding brackets
2 12mm nuts
5 12mm bolts
I am pretty sure I didn't leave anything out but this is entirely from memory and my brain barely has enough power in the morning to drive me to work.
