Dave B: Yeah your right about the Z06, it hits consistant 4.0sec 60mph runs and hits the 1/4 ET at 12.4 at 119mph but the thing is, its alot harder to launch the Vette then the Benz. The 02+ Z06 is more then capable of "slightly" beating this German rocket, but to drive the benz to that # all you have to do is floor it and your there. The Z06 will probably lose to it (stock) if the driver makes just one mistake, also consider the fact that not too many people learn their ride and are capable of taking it to the 100% full potential that its capable of. Ive seen many Z06's run mid 13sec passes over and over but obvioulsy these guys had no clue what they were doing.

Very true. Most Z06s that come out to my track are low 13-mid 13s@108+mph. Most of the people that buy them are old men and they don't have a clue. I have yet to see a Z06 break into the 12s nor an LS1 F-Body go low 13s either, but I know that they're capable of it.

The E55 won't "kill" a Z06... Speedy6 drove one against a Z06 and was able to keep up just fine, but certainly didn't 'kill' it.
