if you spin a lot off the line youre screwed either way... but you cant let off the gas and then gas it again, you will lose a lot like that... if anything gradually bring your foot off the gas

Holy crap. Get down to a 2.0 '60 and you easily have a mid-low 14 second car.

id be happy witha 2.2 or a low 2.3 60ft. its hard to get there, i never knew an automatic is this hard to launch the right way lol.. on the street its a 14 second car.. because i dont spin alot, on the track the tires just scream which puts me into a low 15 second car.. i WANT the slip to prove im in the 14s, but the launch is hard help guys im going back to the track soon.. how do u launch your 02 and 03s? with stock tires.

learn how to launch a 6 speed and the automatic will be a joke... when i was at the track this guy with an 02 altima 3.5 came with us, and he let me run his car once and i pulled a 2.21 60' time.. first time driving the car let alone launching it. i ran a 14.754 @ 93.65 on that run, but the car didnt really seem that fast to me

i have a spec v that has a 6spd, i know the difference from launching an auto and a stick lol.. but bro for an auto this thing isnt easy, u have to feather the gas pedal on this auto, otherwise u get way to much wheel spin, just like on a stick.. when u ran the auto altima how did u launch that car?

Get new tires if you're having that much of a problem with launching.

if a stock 03 with those tires can run high 14s with the stock tires than an 04 can with stock tires.

True, an 02-04 auto can reach 14s easy, but you seem to be having a traction issue. New tires would help that.

i power braked but i didnt bring the revs up much at all... on the last yellow i let off the brake with my left and gave it gas with the right but i didnt just slam the gas.. when i took off i made the slightest chirp with the tires, the wheels barely spun at all

Lower the tire pressures? I recall someone mentioning they had a good day at the track with the tire pressures down to 22-24psi...

Pump the rear tires to max before going to the track and make psi adjustments to the front tires while you're at the track.

ok the max in the rear is 44 from whats on the tire, so i would set it at like 40 psi.. front im thinking 25 psi, but the lower u go doesnt that hurt top end power?

At WOT having your tires low in the front really isn't going to hurt your ¼ mile time...
