Help, stuck in Italy

1. I've been forced to use Italy's substandard gas for a few years and now I'm feeling the effects of it. They sell a few octane boosters, but none of them make any difference.

2. I ditched the 225/50 Popo's for 235/45 Michellin Pilots and my right front tire hoops when I take off aggressively.

3. I've warped two sets of OEM rotors, so I installed cross drilled and high performance pads, got a 4 wheel alignment, set the psi@32, and now it vibrates.

I know I'm cheating with 3 questions in one post, but internet use is like using a cell phone here. I'm open to try any solution that makes sense--thanks

your solution is to come back to the US where they sell real Michelins, you can set your a lignment, high-octane gas, and the internet access does not cost a lot. lol

1. Exactly what 'effects' are you feeling?

2. Not sure about this one.

3. Did you change the tires and do the brakes at the same time (i.e. maybe your tires need a balance)?? When does it vibrate? All the time or just under braking?

Bugatti is as Italian as Jean Alesi is. Ettore Bugatti was a French national. The new Bugatti is as much Bugatti as the 'new' Pan Am airlines is Pan Am. It's just another name. Volkswagen owns the Bugatti naming rights, just as they own Bentely and tried, but failed, to own Rolls Royce.

Forevermaxed, get to Germany once a month and open it up in the Autobahn with some good gas. The rest of the time, get a Fiat and park the Max.

Not quite true, from what I recall.

Seems that VW DID own RR for a short period of time and part of a really stupid purchase deal stipulated that VW would turn over ownership to BMW after a specified period of time. I never understood what would make anyone put HUGE amounts of cash into something they new they would have to hand over.

There's a difference here as there were several Rolls Royce compaies. In 1998 the Rolls Royce Motor Cars was sold by Vickers to Volkswagen. BMW holds the rights to the name for use on Rolls Royce cars, having acquired the rights from Rolls Royce plc, also in 1998. BMW took over responsibility for Rolls Royce cars this year 2003. Dr. Piech lost out big time.

Re: Re: Help, stuck in Italy

1. I can feel the engine cutting out between 4000-5000 RPM and it skips when idle. I went to Austria, because they have 92 octane, but it only gave me better gas mileage. I'd like to take the injectors out and manually clean them, but me and the local dealer is clueless.

3. I had everything done the same day. It only vibrates during hard braking above 80.

Yeah, they're unbelievable alright; unbelievably poor, unbelievably malnourished, and unbelievably hate to visit the dentist! It’s common to walk through a crowd of them and wonder if they sell soap here, especially in the clubs. The comment about them driving nice cars--LMAO! 90% of them drive 10-15 year old Fiat’s, Volkswagen’s, and Alfa Romeo’s. The fortunate few drive newer ones that dad bought. If you see an Italian female in an expensive whip--her husband bought it, or she did after he died, and then she’s over 50. Don’t believe what you see in the movies or on the Soprano’s, lol! Please don't make me open a can of reality about the rest of these freaky walking dead European chicks.

Sounds about right to me. Seriously, do people think that the average Italian actually has the money for all of the "bling" products that come out of that country?

Anyways, good luck getting everything fixed.
