Audio Issues

I have a 2003 SE Maxima...lately (last 2-3 months), any time I hit a bump, or sometimes just out of the blue, a CD that would be playing decides to stop working from one speaker..or from both, or just get shuffled...it is odd...if I go over another bump sometiems itw orks again..sometimes I ahve to take the CD out and put it back in. The cd's are not scratched...and the speakers are fine, since if I switch to radio it's all good...anyone have these issues??

Thanks,
-Joe

Time to go to your dealer and get a new HeadUnit, I had mine replaced twice already, this last one seems to be holding up though.

The toughest part is going to be replicating the problem when you get to the dealer, the Radio likes to play tricks on you most of the time.

Sound like you have a bad ground somewhere.

It's covered under warranty, if the search feature is up, you can find many threads on this topic and the ways people dealt with it. Last thing I remember is that most Bose headunits have a defect until a certain Manufacturing Date.

yep... it's a known problem with the Bose head unit system. I've had my 2k2 for just over a year now and my 5th head unit is on it's way. If it wasn't for having to replace the entire stereo system(speakers, amps, etc...) I would have dropped in an aftermarket system months ago. So tired of making trips to the dealer.

My vote is either a ground wire loosened or the connection at the terminal(on the speaker) has worked itself loose.

Most likely this is what happened.
