2K2/2K3 Auto to Manual look-a-like conversion..

Is there a boot for the 2K2/2K3 gated shifter that would kind of make it look like a manual tranny? My friend's Acura CL has a conversion that looks hella nice. Any way to do that on my car?

Blya... it's not gay! Well, maybe it is on the Max, but on the CL is looked pimp.

I was thinking about the same thing a while back, since the Auto has a "short" shifter - having a boot to cover up the gates might actually look cool.

It's non-functional obviously, but will look very cool - MB like almost.

You can try to see if the Manual shift console's opening is large enough to allow you shift your gated shifter all the way. Then you can modify the stock boot to fit snug to the **** or get a custom boot.

My cousin did this in his Civic. It looks pretty nice, but I wonder how it would be like with a gated shifter. Wouldn't it be weird having to guess which way the gate is going each time you shift?

That's what the dash indicators are for

Besides, personally, i don't even remember the last time i looked at the shifter when rowing through it.

You might want to try DAVEB he could probably tell you in about 2 seconds whether or not it would fit.
