Yah man that sucks but **** all that matters is that you are OK. there will always be a max out there with your name on it. And dont forget to steel stuff out of your car. you know like the speakers, the HIDs(makes me them real bad), and of course the back seat. Good luck with the Z

it doesnt even look all that bad, a couple of doors and a rear 1/4 panel and it would be good as new.....
but theres always some underlying damage.
mine seemed worse but even at 14,900.00 damage they are fixing the damn thing. i dont even want it anymore =(

Looks exactly like my parent's 2000 GXE in Oct. 2002 when a kid ran a red and slammed into my father's door. The force of impact blew the tires right off the rims on the passenger side, and the kid who hit them took off.
An off-duty cop chased him down (he happened to be heading home from work), along with a few other cars who were in the area.
The sad thing is, the car had 15k on it and so the insurance company decided to fix it. On the upside, the car kept my parents safe and they walked out with not a scratch (only neck/shoulder pains - my mother's head hit the b-pillar).
Still can't believe the kid ran.

For that I am... trust me. Especially given the circumstance.
These cars can take an excellent beating... the car got hit at about 45mph and the door beams held well / the entire body of the car warped to absorb the impact... they were very lucky the car didn't completely roll (it went upwards on the side at over 45 degrees.. a little more and the family would not have been so fortunate). The passenger side was off two inches from the left after they pulled the floor and "fixed" the frame damage.
In the 70's we had tonnes of sheetmetal for accidents like this. Now we have crumple zones, impact beams, etc. It's more expensive but what can you do
