Need help on installing side markers...

I did a search, and looked in the How-to section, but all the links to the write ups and such are dead. I need a guideline of some sort so I don't fukc up such an easy install. Any help is appreciated.

Here's a working link

The most important part is to use a tshirt or cloth in between whatever you use to pry them out or you'll scratch the paint.

They are easy really. First and foremost...take the time to make sure you DONT mess up your paint protect your "pry" device with a thick rag.

I personally popped off my splash guard and popped the front ones out by hand to make sure I didnt leave gouge marks.

If you look at the new clear ones, you will notice a "spring" type assembly (bent sprung metal) imagine this piece on the car. You want to "push" the marker towards the sprung metal to make it compress. Cake. Then replace the marker.

Make sure you:
1) have sealed the new marker with silicone on the mating edges of the white plastice and the clear lense
2) move the "drain" tubes from the old marker to the new marker
3) I moved the old gaskets and bulb holder from the old to the new because they were of better quality.

Its easy...go slow because its VERY easy to mess up your paint.

Good luck!

This is how I do it quickly without damaging the paint: Use the flathead with the towel method.

For the driver-side front marker, go from the right side of the side marker. For the driver-side rear, go from the left side.

For the passenger side markers, front go from the left side of the marker and for the rear, go from the right side.
