Help me out....please!!

Ok first of let me start by saying that last night I went to the local 1/8 mile dragstrip and ran a bunch of times. My fastest was only a 9.706 @76.29mph. Anyway I'm hooked into wanting to race my car more often, but I feel racing my daily driven car would not be bright idea. So I've decided to buy another car that I can race. So let me get everybody's opinion on this. I'm wondering what cars would you guys recommend that would have the most mods available for it and would be the fastest. Now the kicker is that i'm only looking at spending around $4,000 to $5,000 to start. The cheaper the better. Here's a few cars i've thought of. Toyota MR2 Turbo, Supra Turbo, 300ZX Turbo, RX-7 Turbo. As long as I pick some of the earlier models of those cars I should be able to get one of them in my price range. Anyway what do you all think? Or do you think that I'm save driving my car?

My dad just bought a 1987 Turbo Supra for 800.00 bux. That car is hella fast and it is in real good shape. You can also mod the car until you are bankrupt. On top of that there are some real good Supra groups outthere.

No question here--best bang for the buck with the most potential upgrades is a 5.0 Mustang GT. For $3,000, you should have no trouble finding a '91-'93 example, and for $1,000 in mods, you should be able to run 1/4 miles in the 13's. I'm not very familiar with 1/8 mile numbers, so I don't know how it would do on your local track.

Yeah I'll have to see. I'm not real fond of domestic's, but if I did pick one, it would defiently be a Mustang GT.
