What type of mileage do 2k2-2k3 get on a full tank?

normal driving, usually shifting around 3500rpm. 60 highway / 40 city.
I dont understand...
I have always gotten lower gas milege than everyone.
Back when my job was a mile away with 10 stop signs, I was getting 220 to the tank.
Now I work 21 miles away and do 25/75 city/highway and I get 290 when the light comes on.
As of now, Im bone stock except for a B pipe.
And I keep the RPMs always under 3

I am a firm believer that the initial breakin process is where your gas mileage will be determined for the rest of the vehicles life, regardless of the adaptive learning system our car has.

In addition, I think most of it depends on the altitude that you live at and the additives your gas station gets. I think it also depends on the formula used by the supplier of the gas station...
I have been running the a/c since getting the car, so maybe that affects it, but rarely can I get over 300 miles on a tank...usually between 250 & 300
I love how the "miles till empty" indicator is so optimistic early in the tank, though
...said "379" one time

sad. Ive gotton over 400 miles in a tank ... when i filled up i put in 16.1 gallons. and this was just really nice driving. never over 3000 rpms etc
automatic too.
edit ... when i fill it it shows over 400 miles 1/2 the time.. but alwats over 380
at any rate, after the first 5 miles, my miles driven and my DTE either = or are great then 400 miles ...

Seriously, I have the worst city driving you can imagine (my avg. speed to/from work is about 26 mph because of the traffic lights, stop signs, low speed limits etc.). So my mpg has gone as low as 15

But, add any hwy driving to that and it at least jumps to 18 - 19.
I've gotten around 475 on the tank on the way to Atlanta, going about 77mph (even though speedometer said 80mph). In the city i get about 300miles on the tank.
Our speedometer is off by about 3-4mph. To test that, get your speedometer up to 80mph then set cruise control. After a sec, reset your average mph on the trip computer. It'll read 77mph.

I can't believe that everyone's mileage is so low. On my 2K2, I get on average about 650km (404mi) per tank. The lowest I have gotten out of a full tank with almost all city driving is 500km (310mi), and the highest I have gotten with all highway driving is 817km (508mi).

You guys must be lead foted. I get 25 mpg in town and around 28-30 on the hwy. That equates to around 400 miles on a tank in the city and 450+ on the hwy driving 75 or so. At 225 miles in mixed driving I am just about at half a tank and add 10-20 miles for hwy driving.... But I have a 6 speed and keep it around 2000-2500 rpm most of the time around town. There's so much torque down low -no need to have it revving high
I commute 110 miles five days a week from about 200 feet to 2500 feet above sea level in my 2003 GLE Auto. Chevron 91 only. Mostly highway and two lane twisty mountain road. (Actually a great commute!) Get about 320 with Mobil 1 5-30, and definitely about 350-375 miles on a tank with Amsoil 5-30. I'm switching back to Amsoil. And no, I'm not a rep. Temp gauge is perceptably a bit cooler too with Amsoil.
