from a stop and from a roll, who do you guys think is faster.

i know the G has 5sp auto and RWD , BUT it also weighs 200 more pounds.

 

Hmm, not sure, I think it would be pretty even.
The G35 might be a little quicker.
G35 sedan is ugly though. Coupe looks great.

 

I would put my money on the G35...if the Maxima spins at all, he will lose

 

it'll be a close race... as soon as my friend's G35 breaks in Im going to race em!

 

If you're running a 14.5 you'll definitely beat him.

 

I took out G35 sedan from dead stop at the traffic light it was an one lane road and I pulled next to him to just get in front of him but he won't let me in so that's how the race begin to about 2 to 3 blocks.....that dude was mad.....he was tailgating me through the whole street and every chance he get he try to pull on the side and try to cut in front of me but I was being an a-hole keep blocking him from the front.....that guy was mad as hell.....btw I drive 2k GLE SuperCharged and I took out that car no problem.....

 

I bet he was ****ed!

 

It will be close over at G35Driver.com their where a few guys that have both and are baffled at why the 02 Max was putting down better times than his G35. It will be close depending on the launch.

That's what I figured. I know I don't have it now. Too bad. Too bad they don't offer that for us Sedan Autos.

have you seen the g35 wtih the factory body kit????? that thing is sick....reminds me of a 911 turbo

 

i believe the g35 auto and the 6speed Max are evenly matched in the 1/4 but after that the g35
walks(RWD) A 6speed G35 on the other hand is a no-contest

 

I can vouche for that personally; when I was at the track several months ago, some guy with a G35 sedan (auto) was perplexed that he couldnt break 14.8 and that my stock Max ran 14.7XX several times.

Honestly, auto Max and auto G35 sedan will run about even with the G35 having the higher trap.

 

I dunno what the numbers say and don't really read into them but I had a run in with the G35 sedan on the highway from about 65+ mph. He kept ridin my bumper. When I punched it, I was a ahead (he was right on my bumper) and we ran up until high digits and he couldn't catch or gain on me and believe me he was tryin. He was P.I.S.S.E.D!

I waved goodbye as I exited, with a smile.

Yeah I agree, I have seen it once before as well last December at the track.

 

Here are my experiences with against the G.

I raced an '03 6 spd. coupe on the highway. We went from 70-120. He pulled a nice 3-4 car lengths with a continual slow crawl away.
I raced an '03 auto sedan. From a stop I pulled half a car length and held it all the way to 70. We than ran on the highway as well. We went from 60-120 and we were neck and neck.

 

G35 because it has 5 spd auto short gear ratios

 

We were referring auto to to auto and that sounds about right they way it went for ya.

 

i think the max has a little bit more low end torque but because the G has 5sp auto, that makes up for the nice acceleration from a stop and how it can keep up.

 

How did you get down to your for light to change the bulbs?!

 

Along the same lines, I'd like to see a dyno comparison between the two.
