looking for a maxima

Hi Foks,
I've decided today to sell my Saab and buy a 5th gen maxima.
I had a new maxima in 1990, and it was a really good car, but not so much fun to drive. It appears they've come a long way.

Is there anything I should be on the look out for as I look for my new car? I'll be searching for a 5 speed.

Thanks.

If I wanted a stick, I'd look for a 6-speed. Plus you want the 3.5L no matter what, so I would suggest an '02 .

That sounds great... can I get one for the price of a 2000??
my budget says more like 2000 or 2001 model. Is there a big difference between the two years?

No difference between 00 and 01...the 3.5L replaced the 3.0L in 02. Shop around and you might be shocked to find all 3 years overlap in price!

I'll do that. Are the manual transmission SE's hard to come by? It seems they are not popular on the car lots, I wonder if they sell for less?
