300zx brake kit...

I was just wondering did anyone ever mass produce the caliper bracket piece that will let us fit the 300zx caliper on a 13" cobra rotor??? If not did anyone in the So Cal area do this conversion that may be able to help me with it???

thanks

I believe CandiMan is working on this for the 3rd and 4th Gen Max, as per this thread. http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=244197

At this point I don't believe anything has been started for 5th Gen's-hope I'm wrong!. I personally would like to see this happen. Bought a set of 30mm alum 300ZX calipers last week and would like to pair them up with larger rotors instead of milled down stock TT rotors. But no one makes the brackets for this. I contacted Precision Brake last week, and they did not show a lot of interest unless the volume could justify the development cost. Here's part of the email I got from them:

Mike,
What you describe is in fact a Big Brake Kit, Though I can appreciate you don't wish to buy all the parts from us. As we already have four different Big Brake Kits for your application, we are not inspired to develop another one. However if you can confirm wide interest among your acquaintances/enthusiasts, we will consider it.
Please let us know your thoughts on the probability of a group buy and we will go from there.
Thanks for the inquiry.....
Regards

Subject: Big rotors kits for use with standard calipers

I would like to ask the question below again concerning the "caliper relocation bracket". I did not get an answer before. The only difference is now I have VOLK LE37T 18x8.5, +40 offset wheels. I really want to use the 300ZX TT alum. calipers I have purchased with a larger rotor-its an all show "cosmetics" issue. I am NOT INTERESTED in a big brake kit. Myself and many other 2000-2003 Nissan Maxima enthusiasts anxious to get an answer to this. I eagerly await your reply. Thanks,
*****

You might check with Matt93SE. He made his own brackets for his completely custom big brake kit. He also is looking for some side jobs right now.
