need help with addco RSB

need help with addco RSB

well i tried installin the thing today and the side U-bolts wouldnt go in cuz they were kinda bent from the original owners car...so i cant find this at any home depot lowes, hardware stores so im tryin something else and need to kno if what im about to do is safe and can be done...i just bought a piece of metal with 2 holes not that thick as the other brackets but seems sturdy and im just gonna put 2 hex bolts through those to the brackets...kinda liek makin my own U-bolt but in 3 pieces..will this work?

i would call addco or email them and have them send replacements. i purcahsed mine through a group deal and was sent the wrong brackets and i contacted addco. they sent all new hardware at no cost.

hmmm maybe thats a smarter idea...poo i wasted so muhc money today just for hardware and time and gas

bump so should i try the new set up or call addco...im just impatient and i want it done now and if it goes bad can side effects be bad?

if the brackets you bought are not strong enough, then the bar could come out and smack the pavement up and down. i think their website is addco.net. offer to pay for overnight if you want to get them but why even take a chance with a part that is not designed for the bar.
