d2r? d2s?

what size do we need for our HID bulbs? thinking about upgrading my bulbs.... and what's a quality brand? phillips?

D2R is exact replacement

I have D2S...You just need to file down a small peice on the bulb to make it slide into the notch.

Not sure about the fitment issues Igor mentioned, but I noticed that D2R bulbs have that metal thing on part of the bulb, whereas D2S do not. I've always wondered what that piece does, and what difference it makes?

the d2s bulb is for a projector housing , the d2r is for our housing. the metal strip is so the bulb does not blind oncoming traffic. it reduces the amount of glare.
