Sweet looking box, why didnt you complete the back? I’m in the process of build a fiberglass box myself, it’s not fun! If you don’t mind me asking what did you use to make a mold for the face of the box? I like it its nice and simple

The general shape was made by manupaluting the MDF then I took cloth and wrapped it. Once it was wrapped the shap was formed and then I applied 4 layers of 1.5oz fiberglass. It's kinda difficult to describe by writing.

Take it easy bro, the rear was taken out because I am selling the box I needed to show what the box actually looked like, it is all vinly in the trunk when completed. That was only for pictures. Whoever (if any) wants the box may want to carpet it, my goal was to show the front and when you open the rear you would not be able to see the rear of the box, it would have all the amps and completely Vinlyed.

Medium Density Fiber board, you can get it at Lowes or Home D. Use 3/4" if you can.

No no, particle board is completely different, you can actually see the different pieces in particle board. MDF is very smooth and you cannot see the pieces, it is made up of board dust.

Do not ever use particle board.

It is STILL made of particles of wood compressed and adhered together. Particle board (at least in the circles I have travelled) is pretty much a generic term for anything that is not actual wood. MDF is a more precise 'type' of this 'non-wood'.

Not flamming, but in the 8 years I have been involved in car audio, if you ever go ask for Particle board they will give you a piece of board that has lots of splinters and you can see each particle.
Just make your life easier ask for MDF.
