Has anybody figured out yet how to keep the driver's side rear clear lens from gathering moisture? Mine looks like it's constantly sweating on the inside of the lens.

I am presuming it is the piece which housing the bulb, and not the lense itself. I say this because everybody's left side gives them trouble, or so I think it is only the left.

Seems like only the left side has problems... the condesation happens between the outer clear and the inner clear.

I thought about moving the right side to the left, and seeing if condensation would form, but I really don't want condensation in both, presuming it is the connector piece. That would definetely tell us for sure if it was the lense or the "connector".

Not possible to do that... check out the picture:

Notice the "blurp" on the wider ends? If you flip the marker the other way around, the "blurp" in the bottom will be above midpoint (below if the "blurp" was on top to begin with). Sorry, I can find the correct words for that "blurp."

Hey Kev . . .

I know you take the lens apart to do your front clear conversion. Would it be possible to do that with the rear clear as well? If so, you might be able to glue everything back together and get rid of the problem.

Just a guess.

Ooooo... scary thought. I don't know how the rear markers are, but the front markers' lens are glued on super tight. Someone took off the lens without breaking them, but it took a long time. Your idea is possible! My bulb hasn't blown yet, so I guess I won't try until then.

I'd say it took a long time Why don't you guys take out the clear corners and pour some water in it to locate the "hole" that is causing this. Once you find it, glue on some silicon sealant.

I guess I just got reeeallll lucky when I installed mine since the "blurb" was not a problem. Are you talking about the pointy pieces on top and bottom? You can turn upside-down and install on the opposite side.

I thought the "blurp" (located on the other side of the pointed end) as not centered. Here's another picture

<img src=http://wwwcsif.cs.ucdavis.edu/~chin/images/Maxima/lights/1a.jpg>

Draw an imaginary line across the marker horizontally. Notice the pointy "blurp" on the right side is slightly higher than the midpoint of that edge? Am I hallucenating again?

Maybe we put them in wrong and they are leaky now?

I suppose it does look a little off center...I'll look when I get home.

I have not noticed this problem

with my rear clears as of yet. They have been in for several months, but then again, I don't use the car every day and it is usually covered most of the time (when I'm not driving it, of course, unlike the Enterprise rent-a-car commercial where they actually *DO* drive the car with the cover on!).

Wow.... I thought I was the only one with this problem.... Well...that's what happens when it's made in Taiwan. I've also noticed that they are kind of loose and they wobble. Anyone else?

They could fit a little tighter.
