New member sayin' hello
Looks like a quality forum, new member sayin' hello.
Previous owner of a 96' GLE, really liked the car but moved to a 3-series Bimmer for the past 3 years. Picked-up a loaded 02' GLE last month (I always by preowned) and it feels good to be back behind-the-wheel of a Maxima again. Plan on putting all my dollars "under-the-skin" as I prefer an understated look that hauls-a** while providing a comfortable, quiet ride (gettin' old).
Look forward to any help/advice I can get from you folks. Oh...yeah...I know how to use the Search resource but I still get a pass on asking newbie questions right? heh heh

Thanks for the welcome all.
Bluesbrekr, what mfgr. tires you ridin' on "up here?" I ask because I need to get off these OEM Bridgestone's before the snow sets in. As I'm sure you are aware my GLE rims have a slightly different offset than the SE and I have the stock 215/55R17 93H EL42s. I'm familiar with the on-line calculators, the Plus-concept, etc. but before I dig-in (Searching here, Tirerack,...) I'll take any help I can get from someone also living in the snow-belt. I want to, and will, stick with the stock GLE rims and I'm looking to move to a 225/55R17 93V product assuming the "fit" calculates correctly.
Any help (from anyone)? Thanks in advance.

WOW - thanks for the "welcome" all, I sincerely appreciate it.
MannyNJ2k2max - Agreed, black was not my first choice. I was buying back into the Maxiam platform (technology and drive-train) and color was not my focus. This car was the "right one" and unfortuntely it happened to be my third color choice. My Bimmer was black, other vehicles I've owned were black so I'm aware of the "****e" pain. But...on a nice day and after a serious wash, wax & detailing effort a black, leather and chrome ride still feels pretty good.
SEmy2K2go - We are in-synch on the Pilot A/S's my man. Read my "boring" post just put up, maybe you can help me - heh heh. Oh yeah...cardomain: http://maxima.cardomain.com/id/1911a1
