Best brake pads?

Looking for new brake pads.

Looks like the axis metal masters and porterfields are the most popular here.

What pads have you used and whats your impression....

Porterfield R4S:

Dust A Lot But Cleans Easily
Excellent Braking
Easy on Rotors

Very happy overall.

Sounds like that is what I will go for. Axxis seem like they are hard on rotors.

The porterfields list for about $90 for the front. Mind if I ask where you got yours and how much. PM if you don't want to post.

I just installed these on my rear's and it made a hella difference from stock. And I don't/shouldn't have to worry about noise. As soon as my fronts wear out I will be putting these up front also.

I got mine direct from Porterfield. I believe they have an ongoing discount for .ORG members, just tell them that 's how you found out about them. With the discount, I did better direct from Porterfield than from the distributor they recommended to me at first . . . I don't remember exactly what I paid . . . maybe about $160 for front and rear?
