SES light reset

I was fiddling with my transmission plug that supposedly helps the car shift better when you drive the auto tranny like a stick, but i plugged it back in - the SES light now came on....would I have to reset my ECU to turn the light off? Isn't there a kill switch somewhere for the SES light?

I'm driving a 2000 max SE

yes, the SES light will most likely come on if you unplug it (even if you then replug - it will stay on).

like i said on your other post...in a 2k just unplug the neg. battery cable for 24 hours or more. or take it to your FNND (or local auto-type store) and have them reset it with their computer thingy.

for complete info on the transmisson mod, check out these threads:

ignore the first several post...they start talking about trans mod as an off-topic note.
