this was discussed on an acura forum i go to (whether its true or not, i dont know... but it does make sense)... the stock wheels are heavier, therefore it easier for them to keep the momentum up. so if ur going about 80mph, the heavier wheels will take longer slow down than lighter wheels if u were to let go of the gas. get what im saying?

you say this but it takes more initial inertia to start the wheels moving. It then takes more force or braking to slow the momentum of the wheels when braking. It will also take more centrifugal force to turn a heavier wheel if the overall radius is the same. i dont want to get all technical but think about the formula F=m*a. The more mass the more force. the relates to the initial take off of the vehicle. here is a link for a more robust definition.

I just got home from Charleston. I had a great time down there. Soo much to do, so little time. And the girls. They're EVERYWHERE!!. LOL. Anyways, thanks for heading me in the right direction while i was down there.

Oh yea, and thanks for the wheels. I'll be sure to let you know when i get pics of them installed.

Don't think I have seen you around charlotte before. We are having a big dyno day tomorrow if you would like to show and meet a few other maxima guys.

Go to this site for details. www.undergroundracing.com

At higher speeds and cruising, heavier rims might help with mileage because of conservation of momentum. Since there is much more mass spinning, that means it won't want to slow down as easily. But in around town driving where you aren't cruising very much they'll only hurt your mileage. As for highway mileage, I doubt any differences would be even measureable.

$0.02

BTW, nice rims.

You got those super nice wheels and put Kuhmos on them? Uggghh.

Anyhow, they look killer, but those tires suck. Expect a new set 15K from now.

I love SSR's, but ditto on the tires...

What are the conditions of the warranty?
