Does anybody have a picture of the shift surround part in factory wood? Also, if anybody knows what type it is, like Burl, Rosewood, etc, that would be great as well.

You should be able to see some of the Infiniti wood (probably the same?) on the pix on my car pages.

Your "center dash all" image link is broken. There was one other picture, from the side, but I really couldn't tell what it looked like from that angle.

isn't the wood trim just fake wood made out of plastic?

Yes, and it is not very attractive (IMHO)...

I have the factory "wood" in my 2k1 SE. It's not real wood, but that doesn't bother me. It looks really nice. It's a dark color. I have the shifter surround and the 4 doors. It definitely gives the car a "luxury look".

Yup but the Joshua Tree wood trim is real wood, even tho the damn gaps are unsightly. I'm trying a THIRD TIME this spring to make my dash look good

I thought the fake wood from the factory was just the shifter piece. Does the GLE come with it on the door trim as well? I'll have to go find one and take a look. I do not recall this. I am presuming it is molded/full form on the door trim pieces.

This is a pic I rounded up from Courtesy. Do the doors look like this, too?

GLE Models' wood trim includes 4 door trims and the shifter trim. They are molded, which covers up the shifter and door trims nicely.

Yup! The wood comes on the doors and the shift/gate area.

The factory wood dash is 5 pcs, shifter surround and 4 doors. Most dealers will tell you that you can only purchase the shifter surround. Call Dave Burnette at Southpoint...that's where I purchased mine.
