A Brakes questions...
Hey folks, I have a simple question for all you out there about brakes.
I have been reading the forum about brakes and am now convinced I can get better performing brakes by replacing them myself and using better gear than going to some shop for OEM equivalents.
So here is my question(s):
I have decided to go with Brembo blanks all around, Hawk pads up front with Raybestos QS's (QuickStops) in the rear.
Has anyone tried this combination? And can give some feedback as to what they thought about the installation, performance (stopping ability and noise), maintenance and anything else that you are willing to say about this?
Also, any other comments about other combinations of parts are more than welcome. My objectives are fairly simple for this task. I want brakes that are better than the OEM gear, but I want something that will not squeal like a pig, release tons of brake dust or eat through a set of rotors in 15k miles and will not set me back huge $$$..
Much thanks in advance to the awesome forum contributors. Your advise has been very useful for other mods I have made to my Maxima..
Cheers,
