Yet Another Y-pipe question

Hey All..I just performed another y-pipe search and was unable to find the answers to a couple of questions.

1. Are the Stillen/Cattman/Warpspeed Y-pipes legal? I read on the stillen web page that THEY ARE NOT to be used for street use. Is this just a disclaimer? How would anyone know as long as you pass emissions? Any problems passing emissions with a new y-pipe (ATL, GA, Y2K GLE)?

2. What is the metal used for the original exhaust, pre cat, in a 2K max GLE? I've seen a lot of debate between the metals of the 2 competing y-pipes...trying to see how important the difference is. I'm not too concerned if the rest of the exhaust pieces on my car are made out of mild.

3. Why not more mentions of Warpspeed?

Thanks,

No none of the pipes are street legal. Stillen says for off road use only. Not to mention they remove the precats to so technically thats a $10000 fine per cat removed. Federal Law.

What is the metal used? What kind of questions is that? The 2k max exhaust is stainless steel. The cat and other parts are cast (as you can see them rust). Cattman offers a Stainless Steel Ypipe to resolve any issues of rusting.

Why no more mentions of WSP? I dont know, some people buy them, some dont. They used to have problems getting back to people cause they do alot of business for a small shop.

Actually although BigDogJonx is right. In the state of Georgia there's no emissions test so you have nothing to worry about.

Thanks for the responses. Actually, in Fulton County (Atlanta) there are emmissions inspections...

I'm thinking about a Y-Pipe some time in the future, but if I'm going to have trouble with emissions, then I might have to rethink. What do others with a Y-Pipe do about emission testing?
