Which Suspension Is Best?

Hey guys, I know that this has been asked before but, what suspension is most suggested? and what is needed in a suspension upgrade? (what are all the parts I need for the upgrade). I've been leaning towards Tokico Blues and Eibach spring set-up. If anyone's got suggestions please let me know. Thanks.

BTW, I'm in NYC, so the roads are kinda crappy around here- just to take into consideration.

I've got that setup on my 2k3 and I like it. I think Teins would be real bad if you have such crappy roads up there in NYC. But, on the other hand Teins give the best look, unlike the ever famous saggy butt look Eibach gives. Although honestly the saggy butt is not that bad. Look on my hompage and see for your self.

i personally hate tokico blues for maxima's, i had them with progress springs and they sucked.

Got the kyb agx's once they came out, their so much better

Same here, the Tokicos are too soft in my opinion, so I am switching over to the Cattman KYB AGX, that are modified to fit the 5th gen. As for the Eibachs I like them since I prefer my car not to be too low. I was going to switch over to progress springs for the KYB's, but I am going to use 4th gen Eibachs.

Thanks guys. 1BADMAX, your car's awesome- great job.. and I like the ride height from the pics (don't want to go too low.. I bottomed out and used to scrape my nose when i had my 2k Eclipse). For the other guys- how are the KYB's.. I have heard that the ride is really stiff. I don't want to soft a ride, but i also don't want to feel every bump I go over when I'm driving on the Van Wyck (since I doubt it'll be finished anytime soon). And what springs are suggested? I don't want to be too low- thats why i was thnking about Eibachs. Thanks again. Vinny.

BTW.. Toylet902.. I posted on the thread 7-11 meet.. Playero told me to contact you on where it is on franny lew... Wanna come out and meet some of you guys. Hope to hear from ya.

That's the set up I'm going for. I hope it's not that rough of a ride.

The KYB "AGX's" are adjustable. They also run almost $475 for all four. The are modified for the 5th Gen but you still have to grind your front strut mounts down to accommodate the nut on top... It's not hard, or you can just buy 4th Gen strut mounts to replace yours. As for as the Gr2's, they are just plug and play I believe...

Thanks guys. I think I'm going to end up going with KYB GR-2's and Eibachs. I like the adjustable factor of the AGX's, but I doubt I'll ever really use them to their full potential- just need something better than stock. But thanks again for all the input- it's been a great help.

Vinny

BTW.. anyone know where i can myself a set of them at a good price??

Vinny, I previously had eibachs on and swapped them out with H&Rs b/c they were too stiff. I have H&R/Tokico right now and the bumps can still be a bit violent where we live. If you want I'll take you for a test ride.

What do people think of this setup-

Stock SE springs
SFCs (stages 1 & 2, maybe 3 if it's worth it)
Tokico Illumina struts
FSTB
235/45ZR17 tires
(no RSB)
