Quick ? about trim around climate control
On my 2k2, there is gray plastic below the buttons on the automatic climate control unit. Is it part of the actual unit itself or is it a trim piece?
This is the plastic that is the bottom most edge of the center stack, above the coin holder/ashtray. You can put your finger under it and slightly move it.
It appears to be one piece but I wanted to be sure...
Why you ask? I had my Bose swapped out (left channel issue w/ CD) and the boneheads at the dealer took a nice chunk out of the plastic there. They also put a very tiny hair-line scratch in the climate control display.
The service manager said they'd have the trim replaced but I kinda think it's one part - so if the plastic AND scratch were fixed I'd be much happier.
Just ticks me off to think they could have passed it off and I wouldn't notice... rat bastids!!
