Max doesn't like mods??
Hey guys,
Just an observation so let me know what you think. Seems that everytime the ECU senses that something has been modified it goes into a "don't fukc with me" mode. Here's why: When I put my Injen on I felt a pretty big difference the first couple of days, then I started losing low-end but high-end was still pretty good. I reset the ECU a few times and saw some improvement, but quickly it would be back to dragging @ss. Then I had to put stock intake back on for the dealer to replace my MAF (due to ping/knock...another thread). Now that the car is back, it pulls nice and even through the whole range and even better then ever (but still pings). Even better than when I first put the Injen back on. I know the ECU "learns" but mine only seems to get dumber.
So whats the deal? Maybe get a technosquare ECU?

First off, I wish I was in Las Vegas, I am jealous.
I have the same issue as you. I am currently saving for the ECU upgrade, however I am buying a spare first. I can't afford the three day down time for my car. I figure I need 700.00, 5 for technosquare and 2 for additional ecu. I have K&N, it sounds great but feels like I lost at little down low.

my car runs fine with my injen... no knock/ping/hesitation...no maf problems.

Ooops, I have been researching this ECU upgrade and I must have missed that. I assumed if I had the spare, I could plug it back in for stock settings. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Now I don't know if I should get ECU upgrade or Cattman Y pipe.
Back to the drawing board, thanks again.
