Somehow I seriously doubt the fact that you did any serious searching. But I know how you feel, so here goes;

Intake: 150 - 250$, provides 6-15 horsepower at the wheels, depending on wide variety of things (brand, type, car, etc.)

Front Strut Tower Brace (Front Strut Bar): 50-200$ (you can find them for 30 on ebay, they all pretty much do the same--Otto Racing and CustomMaxima.coms' bars are good quality for low price, Stillen's is expensive--around 170, but is supposedly better quality.) This stiffens up your front suspension, improving handling and preventing your strut towers from warping, with good looks and show-off qualities to boot.

Rear anti-Sway Bar: 130 - 250$ (probably cheaper on ebay): Stiffens up rear, countering the bad body roll Maxima's tend to have, flattening out your car. Greatly improves handling, most claim it to be the best handling mod for your buck.

Rear Strut Tower Brace: ??? - 170$ - ???: Same as FSTB, just on your rear strut towers, goes inside the back of your trunk area, requires a little modification. Some consider it to be excessive, but if you're **** about handling, pick one up.

Drop Resistor Mod: 0 - 20$: By unplugging a connection located on the driver's side front strut tower, the automatic transmission fills with fluid, allowing faster, harder shifts. Documented .2 off of 1/4 mile times. It's free if you just get under your hood and unplug it, or you could wire it to a flip switch in your dash, or to a WOT (Wide Open Throttle) switch, which may or may not cost you a few bucks, depending on what you do. For details on how to perform the mod, go here http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=255799

Those are just some basic beginner's performace modifications, others include B-Pipe, Y-Pipe, Random Technology High-Flow Catalytic Converter, Racing Straight Pipe, UDP, Muffler, Cat-Back exhaust, headers, performance tires (or slicks if you plan on racing at drag strips), aftermarket lightened wheels, brake rotors and/or pads, shocks, lowering springs, coilovers, body kits, automatic to manual transmission conversion, VB auto tranny mod, tranny cooler, ECU reprogramming, turbo/supercharging, nitrous, etc.

Good luck, and you really should do a search--you'll find multiple threads on the performance parts I listed above. Visit the FAQs on the homepage (www.maxima.org) for good places to buy these parts.

thats a pretty good list but ive never seen anyone from any generation pull 15hp from an intake. you first figure is more along the lines of typical results at the wheels. to add to the list, there are a few brands of headers coming out for the 02-03. there has been inconclusive evidence to how much power they make as of yet.

turismo, nice post! You were much kinder than most would have been because you're right, there is no way he searched or if he did, he didn't know how to search.

And I agree with sloppy... it's not 15hp for an intake ... more like 2-6hp.

Welcome to the .org, sly1types. It looks like the guys are taking pretty good care of answering your question. I'm into subtle 'cosmetic' mods, so if you need any info on that lemme know.

Happy hunting.
