Got dropped today.. PICS

Finally got dropped today, over at Matthel's shop in South City. Took the guys about 3 hours, with some fooling around and a couple 7-11 runs (damn, it was hot as hell here in the Bay Area these past few days). Anyway, here are some pics of the Tein/GR2 drop, don't mind the dirty car, had a little roadtrip this past weekend, and haven't washed the car in about 1.5 weeks as it is. These were taken as soon as the car was done, so I am pretty sure that the springs will settle a little more. As for ride quality, so far so good, even with the "first week of hell" complaints that I have heard about. Anyway, here you go, let me know what you think:

Thanks man, heh. I know I need to update that thing, I need a more "artsy" shot of the car though.

I think it's Matthel's parents car, but I'm not 100% sure.

Thanks all, again.

Hamy, I know man, I am seriously considering some Axis Supermesh 19's (or 18's now, since the drop makes the 17's look slightly larger). Still seeing if I want to sell my OEM's for them, though (I have a few buyers who are interested, heh).

BLKMAX, I would recommend these right now, even though I only drove about 15 miles on them so far. I really like the drop, and like I said, the ride is fine..

So what was the total cost including installation?

Thanks,

Bill

The ride looks sweet, bro. Matthel's the man! His parents' Max looks like a 4x4 next to your car. BTW, don't get mesh wheels, IMO they just don't look right on Maximas, but that's my opinion. Your sled is coming together quite nicely

Drop looks great, looks like it's a little lower than mine. Ride still okay? Cuz mine isn't that great, but it isn't that horrible.

Hey, thanks for the compliments once again, heh.

MD, I dunno man, I am loving the way the Supermeshes look, and I saw a pic of them on a 5th gen and it looked tight. I am pretty torn on whether I should upgrade now, or wait a little.. we'll see what happens.

e34bmw, the ride is pretty good, actully. Like I said, I expected much worse given the first week settling and shiit, but so far so good (even my gf didn't mind it too much, and that's saying something). I think your car is looking good, man. Did you cut your bumpstops?

Thanks GreekMax. My car is almost like yours (it isn't Sheer Silver, it's Polished Titanium). The colors are very similar though, heh. Hopefully your springs come sooner than later so you can join the club Oh, and it was a Slurpee from 7-11 (grape flavor, I think)

BLKMAX, good idea

Looks nice IlyaFromTha405. It's Kevin (sqInside) from CAF - did you ever get that Second Skin? How is it?? I'm thinking about going the cheap route with some 60mil Jiffy Seal from Home Depot for like $0.70/sq. ft.

When we all gonna get together and have a meet?!??

na i didn't cut them, didn't see the need. but i did put the plastic stuff that was on my old springs on the new ones to keep the noise down. thanks for the comment. good luck with the modding, cuz it won't stop.

Thanks all, once again

maxcosity, I got the 50 ft roll of the original Damplifier and I like it. It seems to help with rattles, but I don't think that I have used enough to really get the job done. We can plan a meet sometime on the West Coast forum..

e34bmw, I see. I heard that cutting them helps the ride significantly, so you may want to check that out.

maximadave, I don't know as of right now. Not really sure if I can make it, but I think some other heads might go.

It think it's too low, especially with stock wheels, but hey if you're happy, more power to ya.

That is the absolute perfect drop. No wheelgap, but not a lowrider look. Those are great prices on the springs/shocks also. Were they new or used? New I'm assuming, but just thought I'd ask.

Andy, thanks for the truthful opinion - I am looking into getting new rims, but am liking the new look of the OEM ones with the lowered stance.

jtkz, thanks. Everything is new, and you can find all the prices at the Group Deal forum (you just gotta look around some).

92 SE-R, thanks man. Don't you also ride on this setup?

I agree. THe drop looks great. I would have loved that drop when I was younger with a different job. It's a little too low for me now. I carry 4 people all the time and clearance concerns me. Not wheel rubbing, but ground clearance. It does look sweet though.
