Just installed HID's, Question...

So I just installed my Osram 6000K hid's, and now that they are on, my high beam indicator is on in the dash. When I put the lever into the high beam position, it still stays on. I thought I remembered reading something about this a while back, but when I searched I couldn't find any useful info.

Any ideas or anyone run into this?

Bump... anybody?

you may have hooked it up to the high beam circuit

The lever for the lights is in the low beam and it was a plug and play unit... so I dunno.

Anyone who has opened the dash up, is that an easy bulb to remove?

This happens with all HID aftermarket kits on 2000-2001.

how are the lights. Is there noticeable glare or is it pretty focused.

I have a friend who has a 2000 with new HID's and no high beam light on...

The lights are great, there were some hotspots, but I built shields and that took care of the problem. There is still some glare but not as bad...

Here's a pic of the beam pattern, you can see the glare, but the hotspots are gone after the shields, so the cutoff isn't too bad. The fog light bulb is my old Piaa Plazma... they sure look yellow now.

It says in your mod list that you've got 2k3 hid's... did you just use the ballasts and the bulbs and retrofit into the 2k housing?

i had the same problem with that....if its plug and play and there is no high beam there should be a little loop looking thing on the plug that cancels out the highbeams....mine wouldnt go off so i cut that part off and no light since....
