Maxima i35 compatibilty

Anyone know if 2002, 2003 maxima owners would be able to transplant the 5 speed tranny off of the i35? If so, how easy/hard would it be?

To add, I35 is definitely auto only, and it's not the 5-spd variant.

Also, i think smaller gears might equal better acceleration... or a bigger 5th gear might equal better gas milage.. not sure, but i fugured since it was the same car (basically) maybe we could swap... anyone know?

It's been a known typo for a while now. If you go to your local Infiniti dealership you'll see it's a 4spd. Infiniti's own comparison page also shows it as a 4spd automatic, along with the press release on Infinitinews.com on what's changed for the '04 model.

What would be cool is a transplant of the CVT from the Murano. Would go to peak power RPM and stay there until you lifted your foot.
