Ground Control Coilovers SUCK! I had it with this susp.. need springs...
I'm sick of this suspension. I bottom out my struts at least 5 times a day driving with caution. They are okay over tiny bumps but any moderate sized potholes or uneven roads and they don't handle them well at all and the shocks take all the abuse.
Now i'm faced with the decision of what to get next..
I kind of like how my car sits right now but it's too low and i'd want to be higher than this. (see sig) i have no finger gap in the front, and barely even a finger in the back..
I looked into Maxspeeds and H&Rs, which provide the same drop from what i understand.. i'm afraid i won't be satisfied with the drop.. i also however want to retain a smooth ride quality.
As far as Teins... are they going to be similar as to what my car is sitting like now? or will they be higher or lower? how many fingers do teins leave? Also, is the ride quality bad?
Eibachs are way too stiff and i'd like something soft.. but a decent drop..
thanks
btw, i don't know what happened to the other post, i can't edit/delete it.. maxima.org farted

i have GC's.. its not the best, but i only bottomed out a lot on my stock shocks cause they couldnt handle the stress... don't expect a stock ride on GC's especially when ur slammed in NY, if you want a better ride, maybe go get a set of JIC's....

they also seized up and i can't loosen them up to raise the car back up.
I just measured the drop from the ground to the top of the fender well.. it's 25.25" in the front and about 26" in the rear. So that's about equal to Teins.
It sits nice but seems a bit too low
I also plan on getting the front lip to complete the kit so i will be worried about clearence + winter is coming up. I think i'll go with Maxspeeds to be safe.

i'm on the cattman coilovers
and i'm "slammed" as you call it. i'm measured at around 24.75" all around from floor to fender. the cattman/progress coilover springs are linear spring rate of 450lbs. and i'm telling you, i love it. the ride is SO soft, i can't even begin to explain how good it is. seriously, the ONLY way to understand is to take a ride in it. i have it a good 1/2" - 1" lower than nycemaxima and i don't feel any bumps at all and have yet to bottom out.
and when i only paid $1075 for them, that's another reason why i'm happy.
oh yeah, and i've ridden on jic's before....and i still think these cattman's are better.

Ground Controls are a fuccin beating on the AGX struts.. the design is retarded and for someone who cares and loves and treats his cars with such care, you know who screwed up by putting these things on in the 1st place as opposed to real springs
and no Marco, i don't want your stock suspension..
Gc's i believe are the best aftermarket coilovers out there for just coilovers, not a whole setup. They can't compare with a whole true coilover setup, but must hondas cant even afford true gorund controls.. For me, I get what i want out of my GC's, a show ride...

16's = more rubber than 17's......when you live in NY, you gotta think about stuff like that.
and come on, 16's+500cash for 17's...
