Hi all,

I am in a bit of money trouble and thinking about selling my car. I was wondering how much I could get for it. How much would you be willing to pay for a Black Maxima 2000 GLE with 46,700 miles on it? The car is in good condition, it has the normal tear and wear, but nothing big. I just put brand new tires on it about 5 months ago and is all stock. Can u guys give me an idea on how much to ask for it.

I would say that the market value of your car is around $15-17000. Yea, I know it sucks.

For a 2k? I would say lower than that. I saw a 2k2 SE for $16,900. So I'm guessing for a 2k, maybe 14k on the high.

I aggree with maximilion...I just bought my 2K1 GLE with 30K mi for 16K...good luck! 14K on the high end...depending on your market.

FYI~I found the org. sticker in the glove box...2 years old and $12,000 off the sticker! DAMN! I am used to the resale of Trucks in Texas...a 78 Chevy will go for 6-9K!!!

I figure you'd get about 500-1000 more for the milage and GLE. (mine's a 5spd...mihgt not help you...if you have an auto...more of them available.

And mine has heated leather seats, climate control, bose, sunroof, ABS, etc.

Good luck though....its such a buyer's market...with all the good financing and such on all those crap Mitsu, Saturn, Ford, etc cars

Private party sale I would say 13k-16k, this seems to be highly dependent on what market you live in. Around Boston you could get 15k-16k.

I'm in the low-price group here. As you can tell maximas have terrible resale. I'd say your car is worth, private party, no more than $14k and you may have a good bit of trouble getting that. I'd be surprised if you could get as high as $15k for it, and not terribly surprised if you were forced to sell it for as little as in the 13s.
