2k3 Cattman YPipe.. all i can say is WOW!!!

at first i was pretty skeptical of the 2k3 ys after hearing all this talk of "the stock pipes are efficient enough that any aftermarket pipes will not show much, if any, gains"....but after going for the first drive... i knew it was money very well spent.... there are VERY NOTICEABLE gains just even on the butt dyno in the midrange under acceleration...
it did make my car a bit louder, but it is a very nice deep rumble that makes it sound sweet..i recommend this to anyone who is considering it... this was by far my very best mod to date, tho i dont have many......
only problem was the bolt issue mentioned by Polo, which was very easily avoided since i knew ahead of time (took 5 minutes to cut a little off the bolt).... all in all a GREAT product...
two thumbs up to cattman for yet another quality product.....

what ice is trying to say is that eventhough the car feels faster, it might not be the case. Alot of ppl felt their car was faster with the stillen headers and then dyno'ed to find a lost in hp/tq

yeah.. sorry guys.. no dyno.. but u can take this for what it's worth... it feels a LOT faster than it did before... i dont kno what the stillen header guys were saying.. but there is no way that this made me lose power at all...

I checked Cattman's website and couldn't find the 2k2 or 2k3 Y-Pipe, did they just not upload it? How much is it?

they had an introductory price when they first announced it for like $299 + shipping... i'm not sure how much it costs now... about $355 (going on memory.. not 100% sure that that price is right... but it's around there).. calling them will be ur best bet...

remember that faster track times = better traction

higher trap speeds = more power

so if you trap higher (+2 to 4 mph).. then the y pipe is doing its job.

Sounds good!
Can't wait till Santa bring mine!

Do you guys who have the Catt Y have any other mods?? Like an intake, exhaust, etc...?? I'm curious how the Cattman Y would perform on a stock '02 or '03 Max.

bigdo26 do both hehe with the ecu an y pipe you will see a bigger gain since the ecu is less restrictive.

I personally think the ECU will make your other mods perform to their peak..... I see a lot of potential for those of us with the standard bolt ons....

some of us live in states that don't do inspections...but for those that do, the 2k2-2k3 y's dont's remove any cats, so you're good to go. the headers are a different story. and yes, most headers will also include the y. but it's hard to wait when you have something now that works almost as well.

Not to burst anyones bubble, but when I installed my Warpspeed y + b pipe, stock muffler I lost between 2-5 hp and tq in the mid range between 4800-5400 rpm. Went to OBX exhaust and gained all out and similar top end power.
