Fed spec or Cal spec, how to tell?

Im a total newb when it comes to Maximas, Nissan, and Cars and general, Im 17 and just got an auto black 2000 SE two weeks ago, (its my first car), I dont know much about cars but i was wondering how could i tell if my car is fed spec or california spec emissions? (The easiest way)

I dont think it matters where you are, i live on the other side of the country and I just checked and have a california spec... is that bad?

my cars cali inspected...and i live in PA...
i don't think its bad, we just have an extra O2 sensor i think...i am not sure...
just another thing that could go wrong

And I believe aftermarket Y-pipes have 1 precat while Fed-specs don't have any. Really no difference, they both put down similar power. Plus NVIS (Nissan Variable Induction System) has an extra sensor plug.

extra swirl control valves in the IM for cali spec models.

So, if you get something like a Cattman Y for a cali spec Max...will you see the same gains as on a fed spec Max?
