Do all new coils have a silver dot?

Do all new coils have a silver dot?
Do all of the modified ignition coils for 2K, 2K1 have a silver dot? I picked up 6 coils from ebay that have the new part number but no silver dot. Did anyone buy coils from a dealer recently that don't have the dot? Thanks.
