painted my headlights
i wanted to paint my headlights to match the tails since i had some of the paint left over. i saw alot of posts about people opening them up first and doing it on the inside. i decided just to do mine exactly like the tails, on the outside. it was just as easy as painting the tails. i think it looks pretty sweet.
what do you all think? http://images.cardomain.com/member_i...22_25_full.jpg http://images.cardomain.com/member_i...22_22_full.jpg |
looks like rice rice baby.... haha
j/k jason.... looks like a$$ tho....cop some AE's |
sorry but thats really ugly.
That would probably look better on a black car |
not feeling it myself either. good paint job though...i give you props for your creativity and effort though.
|
yeah it looks better from the inside but then again, it looks better than stock as well..
|
thanks for the feedback guys.
i wanted something diffirent so i did the outside. everyone who has painted headlights has the inside done. never seen one on the outside. i agree it would look better on black, but i still think it looks better then stock |
Maybe try matching paint to the color of the car. I bet that would look good.

Not to change the subject, but what lowering springs do you have Igor?
|
ya, dont mind the tails painted black, but the headlights are kinda weird. color matched to the car might turn out cool... try doin a photochopped pic with the headlights matched to your car.

does it look better in person? that is often the case as well. PS - nice to see people who take criticism very casually on the org. see, there really is nothing to get worked up about, people just have opinions and offer constructive criticism (usually)

abaout the criticism..NO SH!T. people post "let me know what you think" then get mad and cry when the opinion is negative. |

"Please remove the paint!" was enough. i got the point. you just went from constructive criticism to being a d!ck :slap: :nono: |
To each his own. It's your car. Do with it what you want. The only problem I've got is that you're a Sooner fan. I'm from NH but happen to be stationed in OK at Tinker AFB. All I see is OU stuff. No offense, but I hate 'em. Like the choice you made in your car though.
|
reminds me of a panda... just different...
|
Not really feelin it. If the car was darker maybe, but as long as you are happy with it that's all that matters.
|
Go Sooners!!!
|
I like your head light, it will look great on black Max

I think its a little too black/dark. If you use black transperent paint which is made specifically for tail lights, and just spray 3-4 layers, I think that would look nice. It will give it a dark 'tint' look. The paint pattern you used is nice though

It's not the best Photochop, but I'm at work so I didn't want to spend too much time on it. |
Like the talking horse on Ren & Stimpy says.....No sir, I don't like it.
It just sticks out like a sore thumb and all you end up seeing is the headlight. |
They look ok.They will probably look better to me once LSU beats Oklahoma
|
Best painting for the headlight u can do is inside to make it look like AE...
