"My neighbor backed into me and bent one of the mounts and cracked the other."

Yeah, sounds like the truth to me

Sounds a little suspect to me. On the second listing, who wants a waterstained lens?

Look at his other auction. He has a buick grille for sale and it says that it has scratches on the bottom andtop of the grill. Would this mean using a screw driver to poop it out quickly and damaging the grille.

The second link has the unit shipping from Streamwood, IL, not far from me. I don't believe there has been HID theft in Chicago metro, but I may be wrong. The first one, OMG, red flag central on that one. I love the fabricated story too. Pictures are only indisputable evidence that his story is indeed legit. Otherwise, I would leave it alone.

I can't imagine having someone back into the front of the car and not damage the outside of the headlight while damaging the mounting tabs. Highly unlikely.

If someone can explain to me how a Maxima would get backed into hard enough to break or damage BOTH tabs but not even scratch the outside or front of the headlight I'd like to hear it.

What if they hit the bumper, pushing up on the lights cracking the mounting tabs with no contact to the light! Not that I am sticking up for anyone, but I was just looking at remykins thread about his accident and the pics can back up my thoughts, however there is damage to his headlight so??????????????????

I'm sure that it's possible. I still believe it's unlikely to damage just the tabs without damaging other parts of the housing and lens. Maybe his car was backed into at 10 mph.
