Got A Question????

I have a 2002 Maxima SE. Just recently, I noticed that when I press the lock key on my keyless remote, the lights blink but the horn doesn't honk, like it use to. I haven't messed with anything lately and was just wondering if anyone has heard of this or if maybe I'm suddenly doing something wrong. Any ideas on what to check. Thanks.

Click on the lock key and hold it down for a certain amount of time and the lights will flash or the horn will beep or something like that. That enable/disables it. (the horn)

Does your horn work when you try to honk? If so, you may have a blown alarm fuse. There's a horn fuse and an alarm fuse, check them both. No reason either should blow on a 2k2, unless you've been doing some electircal work.

Otherwise, check the owners manaul for how to switch the locking system from silent to honking to make sure you didn't change it (as others have indicated already).
