Which fog Bulbs to match stock HId's?

I know this has probably been covered 100 times, but since search is down ....

I am interested in getting rid of the stock fog light bulbs in my 2002 max. I want a bulb that looks white, or even HID white, so it flows better from the front.

I can see by most of your sigs that you guys already did this to your rides.
I was wondering which bulbs are the ones to get? and where to buy....

Thanks for all input

I would say the PIAA H3 Platinum would be your best match.

I'd say Xtreme White, which would be a little yellowish compared to the stock HID and Super Plasma, which would be a little purplish compared to the stock HID. Either way, you'll never win. It's a lose-lose situation. If you want a win-win situation, you gotta change your stock HID bulbs and get HID fogs. Good luck.

Before I had HID in the fogs, I had PIAA Super Plasma and it was a PERFECT match.

Ask member "Jeepik" how they are, he bought them from me

This topic has been beaten to death, and the conclusion is SUPER PLASMA is the closest match to HIDS. I have gotten so many compliments, "d@m dude, how much did u pay for that HID conversion fogs? Theyre a perfect match"

Just look at the haze around, Ask Igor911, I believe he's had both as well

Sorry I don't have pics of the Super Plasmas... They were only in my car for a week before I upgraded to HID.

While we're on the subject of bulbs... does anyone know a 194 bulb that has a purpleish tint? (like igors parking lights). Something that would match his purpleish HIDS.

(Just for verification I mean the ones right above the turn signals and next to the low beams in case those lights aren't actually called running lights)

Dude, look at post #10 IN THIS THREAD.

I have Super Plasma 168 wedge bulbs in my parking lights and they DO NOT match the HID's. They are definately more blue.

Those are the origional 168's that I replaced...

The 168 SP wedge bulbs look a blue-green when on. They actually look worse than the picture....

Are you having a bad day or something? You disagree with what I said and I post a response showing I do have them, then you complain about the flash being on...

FWIW, my LCD is broken and I can't turn the flash off. You can either deal with it until I get a new camera or you can send me one in the mail...

It appears that the Xtreme White running lights match the Super Plasmas fogs better than the Xtreme White fogs.

Oh, Holy One.....I apologize for offending thee.

You don't like my pic, take a close one of your own to prove how well they match. Who knows, maybe I got a bad batch....

take a close one of my own? If you read this thread carefully, it clearly states that I had them BEFORE I upgraded to HID in the fogs.

Your eyes must be playing a trick on you because those bulbs match 100%.

LOL....My eyes probably are playing tricks....

Still, you stated I don't have the SP's which I do. Then you didn't like my picture taking skillz and yell at me for it <sniff>. THEN you bring my momma into it....Thems figten werds!!!

Anyway, if I get a chance to take a better pic, without flash, I will post it up. Again, unless I have a bad batch, there is no way the SP 168's match the factory HIDs.....

Dumb question here.
Why can't you just put your hand over the flash when taking the pic??

Thats about the same way my Polarg M4s look. They did look more blue when I first
got them but they now seem to be whiter. Maybe its time to get out the blue sharpie?

How much are the super plasma fogs, installed? I just noticed today that when I turn on my high beams, the fog lights go off. Is this normal?

You should be able to install them yourself. Yes, it is normal for the fogs to go out when you turn on the high beams.
