firewall hole location?

Does anybody know where the best place is to drill through the drivers side firewall on a 2k 5-spd max I'm running amp wiring and foglight switch wires. I needs to be at least 3/4" in diameter. I saw a "how-to" at www.torontomaxima.com but it was for an auto trans. Seems as though the clutch fluid resevoir is in the way on my 5spd. Is there a another suitable location without a car lift available? Or possibly without drilling? Thanks.

There is a huge grommet in the driver's side wheelwell behind the plastic inner liner. In my experience, this is the best spot to go. You can go through the grommet and you won't need any drill.

The hood release cable grommet is your best and safest bet. Easy to access and work with. No need to drill holes or anything.

Take the drivers side wheel well liner out and your questions will be answered. Engine bay access is behind the strut tower.
