so far, Short shift kit, fstb, rswb, pr cai, y-pipe, high flow cat, catback, sprint springs, tokico blues, audio, tint, and many more to come. I enjoy modding and doing most of the work myself. It's relaxing and rewarding to me. Don't regret any of it.

The intial rush of my eibach/tokico was good....tight ride, great handling, but those bumps would jar your kidneys out of place...and i was on stock rims!
The intake/y-pipe/GReddy became a hassle soon enough though. People always thought I was trying to race and had people yell at me onthe street when I would lay into it a bit.
From now on RSB, FSTB, y-pipe, k&n panel filter, and a few cosmetic mods are all I need.

My car is stock. I know that upgrading a car is very bad from a cost standpoint (lots of money compared to what you get), and you'll never recoup the costs when you sell it. So, instead I'm content with the stock version and money saved now will allow me to sink money into a car that is quick from the factory (like a 350z if I cared for one) later 
When I bought the car it had some tinting already done (nicely don), but otherwise it's all stock. If I bought a new car I'd probably put some tinting in. It adds to the appearance massively I think and it is functional as well, keeping sun out (to some degree anyway).

I am pretty unhappy with the car lately , only car i know of thats MAF blows 3 times in 3 months and some of these other ORG guys have wayyyyyyyyyyyy too many posts and too much free time on there hands... just my 2 cents
I am happy with my Injen intake and tint. The only thing I do not like now are my Maxspeeds on stock struts. The ride is getting really bad and I need aftermarket struts. The only problem is I can't seem to decide between the Tokicos and the GR2's. I want to keep the soft ride with the lowered stance but it seems that the Tokicos and GR2's both offer a stiffer ride and short life span.
I have given up on getting a y-pipe, ECU mod, wheels, headers, catback, etc... This will be just a family sedan. All mods from this point on will be comestic. I am tired of seeing other Majestic Blue 2k2/2k3's on the road that look just like mine.

If any of you are seriously interested in buying my Stillen intake, Injen CAI, Stillen headers or exhaust. Email me and I'll give it some thought. Most likely the exhaust is going up for sell. I want a normal sounding Maxima, not a race car. Who knows though I may change my mind.
I am so far happy w/the mods that I had done to my car. The exterior still retain the "stock" looks...still have the stock 16" wheels. But the 50% tints and H&R/Tok. drops do make the car looks more euro-like, classy IMO. My ride is pretty decent because of the subframes that I'd installed to stiffen the overall structure of the car which helped absorbed the impact greatly. Therefore, the bumpiness from the drops do not affect my ride too much. Though, the lower height of the the car do bother me sometimes because of the condition of the road in my area.

I'll be 60 this month and I'm truly a Maxima fan. I love the mods that I've done and so does my wife. Yea, it's an autotragic, but I can still have fun with it manually. Otherwise, it's so smooth and easy. The only thing is the Eibach springs. Most of the time they are great and the handling and looks are what I wanted, but potholes, railroad crossings, etc. hit pretty hard. I will probably switch to H&R's at some point (better ride and still retain handling and looks). I love the intake and will go with a y-pipe or headers and b-pipe in the future. In the Spring I will upgrade the tires (that's why I went with 7.5" wheels). I love to park my car where I can look at it and I really love to drive it. The mods have enhanced both looks and performance IMO. My grandkids love 'gramps' car. It's all about personal taste and that keeps it interesting.

As much as I'd like to think I'll put a limit to the mods- I'm basically

When you modify a daily driven street car you should choose your mods carefully. Remember the mods will have to be delt with on a daily basis and you should not take away from the comfort of a daily driven vehicle.
I am very happy with the mods I have done so far except the Frankencar has come off in favor of a modified GAB mod. My 18: wheels/tires are great for me and Vegas roads. The suspension is just about perfect for my needs and wants. You can see that the exhaust is stock to keep the quiet ride.
Having driven daily drivers from mild to wild I have made my mistakes of overly building my daily driver and regretting it. So now I know what works for me and what doesn't.
I drive 35,000+ miles a year and have to keep my ride quiet and comfy.

I'm pretty damn happy with almost everything I've done to my car. I got a little tired of 18's rough ride, so I got 17's. I'm happy with my intake and y pipe. The ride on my H&Rs/AGX is a little harsh, but it will probably stay on the car for a long time. I just can't stand the floating feeling on the highway with stock suspension....going over 90 just feels unsafe.

the thing about moddin your car is its very addictive...you cant just do somethings then stop....you may say that now but wait untill you go to a car show or see something else you want, it just keeps going and going. Putting new toys on your car brings the newness back and we all love that feeling. believe me i thought i was only gonna do a couple things to my other car and after a while it was all i spent my money on. Now i just keep it simple with my new car, i keep it nice and clean and every once in a while buy a few accesories for her. Its nice to have a car that gets a lot of attention but in the longrun it might not be worth it to some of you. After i had my wheels stolen right out of my driveway i figured it was time to stop. For you guys who still love to do it thats cool to. GET THE BEST ALARM MONEY CAN BUY, its well worth it

Hey Galo - I'm 48 and have some of that 'been there, done that' stuff. My car is one of my hobbies. I agree about not going over the edge, but I want it to be different just enough to stand out a bit.

Another reason your 18's could ride soft is your choice of wheels. Your volk 18's are one of the lightest wheels you can buy. The 18's are around 15 lbs or so. Your 17's, stock or many aftermarket, could have been 24-30 lbs. The lighter the wheel, the less shock is transmitted to the chasis.

Well, after giving this some thought, I think most of my unhappiness is with the motor mounts. The ride that they produce in the car sucks. I did take my Stillen exhaust off for the time being and put the stock one back on. Today I'll switch back to the stock motor mounts and see if that helps. Anyway that's the update, so this means I'm not selling anything off the car as of yet. I'll give the exhaust a week or 2 and then decide on if I should put it back on or sell it. Until then take care.

YES!!! It matters. If your going to lower your car... please upgrade the struts as well. Performance shops will tell you the same thing before installing the springs.




big brake upgrade, skyline kit (if they ever make one), 19 inchers, and supercharger...
