O2 Sensor Replacement??

Service engine soon light went on Again. After hooking up a computer it read that it was running too lean. The Max also has been stuttering when its cold in the morning. I think it might be the 02 sensor??? anyone know how to replace it or where its located in and 2000 max??? part number?? pictures or schematic would be great. FAQ didnt have anything. and search is down. Thanks

are you 100% sure it is the O2 sensor?

intake air leak after the MAF will cause the car to run lean too.

check on the TSB stickie...it should have a TSB about replacing the O2 sensor. but first, i.d. the problem before you spend 130 on an new OEM O2 sensor.

Stutering when cold is something I'm having, and so are many others here. My car chugs like a beer drinker having his last beer when it's cold. Once it warms up though a few min after running it no problems at all. I'm having no codes at all (2000 max). uMd_Max or something like that said that he replaced his MAF sensor and it fixed the problem, but I'm hoping to hear from others with the problem before I go paying the $80 for a new sensor.

Yep, Its Probably the MAF

I have just dealt with the exact same problem on my 2K SE - cold stumble. It was the MAF. In this case the Max was ECU was throwing code P0171 (Bank 1 Lean). I "played" with this problem for a couple of months using a scan tool to monitor the MAF and a few other senors. I found my MAF readings would occasioanlly bounce around for short time while driving at a steady speed on a level road. New MAF = Cold Stumble problem solved.
