how about when you see a maxima you jump out your car and dance like this if the other driver gets out and does the same then he/she is an org member, if the other driver just looks at you stupid get back in your car and think about how silly you must of looked.

Yeah, lets not kill thread just yet.
1 Horn is no good because some of us really play our music loud.
2 Waving is no good because any happy idiot can wave back and still be about as passionate about their cars as they are their refrigerator.
3 a lot of us have debadged, so the idea of stickers is not my dream mod. And what would you do, ALL 4 sides? Org plate frame I would do, some states are single plate and I am illeagly. Can only see form rear at fairly close range. Clear corners would not work at night because of the variety of bulb usage.

Has to be the fog lite rewire and the flashing corners. A lot of guys have already done this and it is easy and costs nothing.

Simple. If you see another max, turn on fogs w/o h/lites. Put on turn signal closest to other car or 4 way flashers. Can be identified this way from a distance on 3 sides.

You would have to be org., who else knows how to do the rewires?

Then get on the forums and start a thread--- who was driving the silver max on I94 earlier this afternoon? for example.

Over all I like the concept, anybody got a better idea? If so lets hear it.

 

how about we go up and give the horn three times and floor our cars..... until we hit drag limit... that way we know that hey, he must be a maxima.org person.....

The horn is no good. Not all Maxima guys are treckies.
And I would not want to be in Chicago and do anything with

I'm always looking at other maximas trying to see any mods and I always look at the person and am prepared to wave and sometimes I do.

 

I already yell that at people and they laugh so that wouldn't work.

 

What about those of us without fog lights?

 

I also look to see if the tails match the nose or wheels match the nose.

BTW.. the lisence plate frame is a good idea but small. Stickers are a "negative" on the car.. clutters up the lines.

 

I don't know about you guys, but on average I see a 5th gen Maxima about once every 15 seconds. I don't have time to flash a stupid hand signal or even care whether or not all of them are on the ORG. If they are...great...maybe I'll talk to them on here sometime. If not...oh well...their loss.

Mick Max and all others that agree w/me on the fog light thingie, i appreciate your support...........i only bring this up cause i feel that most org ppls are opened minded and will be happy to discuss the mods on their rides if by chance we meet in parking lot......however, i'm not saying that non-org folks are not open minded. If i see a max with the fog light conversion, chances are he/she is from the org.....
For the folks without fog lights, the flashing corner/turn signal mod Mick Max suggested is great. It's in the "how-to" section and best of all, it's free.

 

In order to see it you'd have to be going in the opposite direction as the person with the fog light conversion. Or possibly sitting at an intersection. Are you going to do a 180 and chase down everyone that you see?


And yeah, a bunch of threads like "who was driving the silver max on I94 earlier this afternoon?"...exactly what the ORG needs.

Sorry, I did not think of it choking the server even more than it already is. But not to worry, nobody would agree on anything anyway. Criticism is great, now what is your idea on this?

 

My idea? Simple. They make these things that when viewed identify the driver of the car as a member of maxima.org. They're called stickers....they come in several colors and sizes and are available here. If you don't like those, how about a license plate frame?

Other than that, I'd simply say

 

this is by far the gayest thread i've read in a long time................
if u see someone with a max in the parking lot.. just ask him.... if u see someone driving by and u wanna know if he is on the org...forget about it.. it's already too late (he's gone)... but if u must know then just post it in ur regional forum or something
